Finance Manager for a not for profit organisation based in Blackburn, up to £40,000

Your new company
This organisation is a not for profit organisation based in Blackburn, who have been established for well over 40 years and provide services to the community. They have a team of employed staff, and a wealth of volunteers who assist them achieve their common goal and have been extremely successful and continue to develop their services.

Your new role
This finance manager job will be responsible for the running of the finance office which includes one assistant, who you'll train and develop when required, whilst reporting all financial information to all stakeholders including producing annual accounts working with the auditors. You'll also prepare the payroll including the admin related to the pensions, banking, monitor the systems and their effectiveness and audit current controls and procedures. Aside the general finance duties, given the organisations nature, there will be some specific tasks related to working for a charity, including preparing information for funding applications and tenders, and managing the investment policy researching new investments ensuring there are sufficient level of funds available.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll either be CIMA / ACA/ ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with AAT as a minimum. In terms of experience it would be ideal if you had some experience working for a not for profit organisation, but you must be confident in managing another member of the team and fully responsible for anything finance related. You must be a friendly individual with the ability to communicate at all levels, with a strong team ethic about you.
