Your new company
Hays Senior Finance is recruiting on behalf of a growing local business for a Finance Manager to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance individual to hit the ground running in a business which has seen its turnover nearly triple in the last 4 years due to the implementation of a successful growth strategy. With new additions and restructuring within the senior management team they are now looking for a driven individual who can mirror the pro-active values of the company in a highly visible role within the organisation.

Your new role
In your role as Finance Manager, you will play an active role within a busy finance team. You will be responsible for the financial management of the Dundee site as well as the end to end month closing process, associated reporting and subsequent forecasting to be reviewed at group level. You will have some involvement with the statutory reporting for the Dundee business as well as the monitoring of the weekly cashflow. You will be required to attend Senior Leadership meetings with a view to selling process improvements and cost reduction procedures to improve business profitability. You will produce ad-hoc reporting in support of the wider operation, interrogating data for both operational and financial purposes, supporting new operational and commercial developments including improvements to accounts systems and processes.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified or QBE Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will have a proven track record within a similar role and have an in-depth understanding of the management accounting process with a proven understanding of reconciling balance sheet accounts. Experience within a manufacturing and construction environment would be a distinct advantage but not essential. Advanced knowledge of Excel is essential with experience of lookup functions and pivot tables being key. You will be a motivated and enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills who enjoys streamlining business processes and continually striving for improvement.
