A 27M turnover business with operations in Slough and London.

Your new role
You will be a Finance manager for two operating companies providing high quality information and analysis whilst managing a team of two. The role is based in Slough with possibly one day per week in London.

There is a significant commercial aspect to this role. You will work with local management teams to review the financial performance of each business and help in decision making on contract and customer profitability.It is important you develop and maintain close working relationships with the operations management teams together with all the site managers

The main accounting duties are
Prepare monthly accounts and reporting to required deadlines for review by local and senior management
Produce full variance analysis against budget, forecast and previous periods and explain to management
Produce monthly reforecasts and yearly budgets for each business
Ensure the consistent and correct use of chart of accounts and reporting
In conjunction with the Financial Controller prepare statutory accounts and deal with the annual audit process
Audit and verify stock held at sites
Keep audit files up to date
Summarise management information on daily, weekly and monthly reports as required
Work closely with the head office finance function
Managing and reporting spend on capital projects and KPIs
Managing and reporting spend on major capital projects
Provide cash forecasts and cash flow reports

What you'll need to succeed
Qualified CIMA/ACCA or ACA
Experience of managing people and motivating staff
Outstanding Excel skills
Broad accountancy experience
Self motivated and enthusiastic
Good communicator
Team worker and ability to adopt a flexible approach to work
Influence and facilitate problem solving and decision making
Analytical skills
Good attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Driving Licence
Willing to travel within the UK
