Your new role

Your new role is a varied and dynamic role that would suit an experienced finance professional seeing their next step in the local area. This is an exciting management role and an integral position to the success of the overall organisation. The business are recruiting this role as the current Finance Manager is moving on to a new role after a period of success at the business.

The role involves day to day control of the financial accounting procedures and management accounting. To take a lead on year end and annual budgeting. The role has a commercial objective and involves monthly management accounts, cash flow reporting, reconciling accounts and general management reporting. You will also manage all aspects of VAT and ensure all accountancy tasks are up to date.

A large part of your role will also be overseeing payments to Suppliers, Credit Control, Reconciliation, Payroll and Cash collection. You will also be responsible for performance management of the team and be a natural leader within the team to ensure consistency, quality and excellence across the function.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a Part Qualified Accountant or a QBE Accountant with experience of the Public Sector (Local Authority, NHS, Charities, FE, Education etc). Qualified Accountants are also encouraged to apply, as this role would suit an experienced Accountant perhaps seeking a better work life balance, or a more local role. You will need to be an excellent communicator, with a strong educational background, commercial accumen, and a strong understanding of the third sector.

A relocation package is also available to any applicants who are thinking of relocating to the Lake District.
