Finance Business Partner job for a large and complex public sector organisation. 2 year Fixed Term.

Your new company
This organisation is a large and complex public sector organisation which offers services to the public and the business community. Your role will be to business partner the operational leaders of one of the largest divisions.

Your new role
As Finance Business Partner you will work closely with senior operational leaders to:

  • Increase financial capability and ensure that senior leaders understand and are challenged about their use of resources to meet business objectives, including Business Plan milestones
  • Develop realistic budgets for the division which are based on operational plans and ensure that all resource needs are identified
  • Develop forecasts which highlight significant financial risks and opportunities early and provide advice to ensure that risks and opportunities are fully understood
  • Produce expert analysis of Divisional performance, providing well-articulated, evidenced explanations for performance levels
  • Construct Business Plans and Business cases to support strategic and operational decisions.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience of Finance Business Partnering in a large and complex organisation. Public Sector experience is an advantage but not essential.
You will have excellent influencing skills and have experience of developing budgets, forecasts and business plans.
You will need to be available to start the role within a maximum of 1 month from date of appointment.
