The role will provide specialist commercial input and finance decision support for all relevant stakeholders and activities, as well as ad hoc business operational projects
This role is within a £130 m turnover division of a larger commercial business, based in their Birmingham HQ. Although currently all staff are homeworking and this is to continue until April 2021.
Build strong relationships with the business to provide a highly professional commercial partnering, financial decision support and critical friend service. Ensure any business changes or projects planned by the divisions are fully supported by Finance and have Finance input.
Support senior operational managers by attending external meetings/discussions with key funders, commissioners and regulatory bodies as the lead finance representative. Supporting bid activities where required.
Support, and where necessary lead, on the management of key contract compliance activities e.g. of PFIs, contractors, suppliers, customers and commissioners.
Supporting and driving the division to take appropriate decisions/actions as necessary, including recovery of debt.
Oversee and manage efficient, accurate and timely production of value added management information for both finance and non-finance stakeholders. Support the Heads of the Finance team in coordinating and developing other internal finance teams
Oversee and manage efficient, accurate, timely budgeting, quarterly forecasting and business planning processes. Forecast trends are appropriately reported and disseminated in order to underpin effective and timely decision making by the business
Qualified Accountant CIMA / ACA / ACCA
Proven experience of:
Management reporting and improved reporting processes. Using Power BI & excel tools
Business Partnering - with an operational area of their business
Leadership - based in a team of 7, be a good leader to help embed the new team structure
Experience of working with senior people, have the ability to get Senior engagement and be seen as an active member of the leadership team.
