As a Divisional Financial Controller - Europe you will take responsibility for the statutory accounts requirements for several jurisdictions. As the right hand to the Finance Director you will manage & co-ordinate monthly forecasting and annual budgeting for reviews for each area and report to the board.
Our client, a global training company based near Crawley is looking for a Divisional Financial Controller- Europe to take control of several European businesses
Reporting to the Finance Director and leading a small team based at head office and across Europe your primary focus as Divisional Financial Controller - Europe will be responsibility for the quality of the regional revenue forecast and associated analyses of each jurisdiction under your management. You will provide expert support to the regional sales team for business development opportunities, and bringing commonality across the region for revenue management, sales strategy and contracts.
You will also have responsibility for the production statutory accounts including annual accounts and Tax returns for each region.
Each month you will ensure timely completion of monthly reporting including all corporate requirements as well as monthly and annual forecasting.
As a senior leader within the Finance team of this global education and training provider you will also be involved in a number of key continuous programmes and be expected to bring new ideas for process improvement to the table and support their organisation wide implementation.
As a leader of a small team you will ensure that each team member understands their roles and responsibilities and support in their development to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. This will include travel to European countries where teams are based to build relationships once it is safe to do so.
The successful individual will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5-10 years PQE experience.
They will have strong technical skills and knowledge of IFRS
A proven leader of people with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of a European language is desirable but not essential
They will have a natural affinity to process improvement and be able to demonstrate where they have helped an organisation improve previously.
Experience of working for large corporate organisations, ideally with teams based across Europe/ globally
