Your new company
A dynamic and enterprising independent firm of passionate Chartered Accountants who focus on assisting a range of local Scottish clients, is seeking a Corporate Tax professional to complete their Glasgow office, ideally at the level of Senior or Assistant Manager. With departments specialising in Accounts, Audit, Taxation and Advisory, this is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong Corporate Tax experience to join the organisation at an exciting time of development. With a partner-led service, they ensure all clients enjoy an exceptional and tailored experience, whilst developing their staff and offering good progression. This firm offers great flexible and agile working arrangements, albeit employees are currently working entirely from home at present to ensure safety. As such, interviews will be completed utilising video call software.

Your new role
Working within a Tax Team of approximately 5 individuals, you will be responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely Corporate Tax compliance for a range of highly reputable - and some very well-known - local clients, inclusive of SMEs and entrepreneurs. This will include preparation of the more complex corporate tax returns and the review of draft computations prepared by more junior staff. You will have oversight of workflow, ensuring deadlines are met and queries are answered. In order to do so, you will liaise with clients - over email, the phone and, when possible, in person - and communicate with HMRC. You will also assist with tax technical research and planning work, identifying tax issues as part of the compliance process.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record delivering Corporate Tax compliance services, in a specialist or mixed tax capacity. Ideally you will also have experience of computation review. This will be complimented by good communication skills and excellent organisation. You will have strong attention to detail and feel comfortable with liaising with individuals of all levels, developing relationships. A relevant qualification will enhance your application, but is not essential.

What you'll get in return
In addition to receiving a competitive salary, you will be able to work flexibly and receive additional benefits. Further support towards relevant qualifications may be available, and you will have the opportunity to progress and develop with the guidance of an experienced Manager and Senior Manager. This firm is a modern and progressive organisation with a trusting approach. As such, you will be able to work to your own initiative, utilising creativity with your ideas being taken on board.
