This Corporate Tax Manager role is with an industry leading Practice that employs over 80,000 people globally. In Guildford the Corporate Tax team works with a number of significant London based FTSE 350 clients that have an international influence. The primary responsibility will be to deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of clients. You will provide assistance to Directors/Principals/Partners in both client work and in the management of the group. As a Manager, you will also be involved in special assignments on an ad hoc basis.

As a Corporate Tax Manager, you will act as a key point of contact within the firm for the client, together with the Partner. This will involve responding quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided, and maintaining regular contact with clients. As a Manager, there is an expectation that you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of projects for clients within your portfolio. The Corporate Tax Manager will have leadership responsibilities and will be expected to review the work prepared by more junior members of staff. A manager is expected to identify risk and technical matters, as well as selling opportunities to the Partner's and Senior Management whilst exercising judgement within agreed parameters. A Corporate Tax Manager will provide overall support to the Partners on client matters and assist the Partners in the management of the group, which will at times include support in recruitment and management of staff.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Corporate Tax compliance experience within a Top 20 Practice working with significant international clients
  • Corporate Tax advisory experience is preferred
  • Some staff management experience is preferred
  • Experience managing your own portfolio of clients
  • Must be educated to degree level and CTA or ACA qualified
