Corporate Finance Manager - Mid-tier Accountancy Firm based in Central London



Your new company
An established mid-tier accountancy firm based in Central London are looking to hire a Corporate Finance (75%) & Audit (25%) Manager to join the teams expanding Transaction Services and Corporate Finance department. The practice provides a number of audit, accounting, tax and advisory services to SME's, large corporates and high net worth individuals.

Your new role
In your new role as a Corporate Finance & Audit Manager you'll work as part of the firms close-knit Corporate Finance team. The firm acts for businesses across a multitude of sectors, from start-ups and OMBs through to larger, more established businesses.

You can expect to work on a variety of transactions. In certain instances you will find yourself managing a project team helping to provide financial due diligence and investigative analysis to assist clients with their potential transactions. In other instances you will work alone, undertaking your own analysis and report writing, rather than managing and reviewing work from others in team.

Transaction Services (75%):

  • Financial Modelling: Forecasting, Discounting, Cash Flow Modelling and analysis of Balance Sheet and P& L.
  • Financial Due Diligence
  • Preparation of Business Plans
  • Company valuations including discounted cash flow and comparable company analysis.
  • Preparation of prospectuses & Information Memoranda
  • Reporting Accountant assignments for IPO's & listings

You will also be responsible for a small audit portfolio of varied clients, including companies (listed and private), sole traders, and partnerships. This will include managing the client relationship and ensuring that expectations are managed accordingly. The main duties of this role include:

Audit (25%)
  • Planning, supervising, and reviewing audit, accounts, and corporation tax
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and IFRS
  • Supervising junior staff and providing assistance regarding technical queries and professional development, including conducting periodic appraisals
  • Performing billing management
  • Some staff-related administration duties
  • Ad hoc business consultancy
  • Assisting in generating new business
  • Other ad hoc duties in line with the role

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you will be an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with experience within a professional services firm. You will have experience in Transaction Services, specifically due diligence and ideally company valuations and report writing as well as a proven track record of managing an audit process.

What you'll get in return
In return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £65,000 along with benefits. This is a great opportunity for an existing audit manager which has worked on ad-hoc Corporate Finance assignments to spend more time on Transaction services whilst retaining a small percentage of audit.
