Exciting opportunity for a Banking & Finance Manager to join a Global Financial Services business in Edinburgh

Offering a range of investment solutions across Europe and the UK, our client are continuing to grow and diversify following a recent transformation programme. Our client have recently created a brand new hub in Edinburgh and they are now looking to recruit a Manager within the Banking Payments team focusing on delivering effective leadership of the banking services team and supporting the delivery of finance strategy and future development as the function grows. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Your new role
The Corporate Finance & Banking Manager will have strong management capability overseeing banking payments, reconciliations, cash-management operations and delivering MI to senior management. This role has a broad scope and will be responsible for 3 direct reports with a wider team of 8 analysts. The payments team is an international function where you will liaise with AP and AR functions holding a solid grasp on cash-management and forecasting. Our client is looking for an experienced individual with underlying CASS knowledge that support compliance and regulatory controls with a keen eye to improve and develop processes. As a newly created function, this role is critical to enable the business to develop the future of banking payments from streamlining payments to evolving payments methodologies and will offer a varied and challenging activities across BAU and project workstreams.

The role holder will work with the Finance Transformation project and Finance Systems team to provide SME input to scope, potential risks and areas for improvement with regards to banking services technology change activity. This is a senior role as part of the leadership team and will have a variety of stakeholders to interact with from CASS to internal audit and risk, AP and AR and senior management team and direct reports. Our client is looking for an experienced Payments manager that can see the "bigger picture" across finance and operations with positive energy to deliver change across the corporate banking business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant experience across a Global financial services business with a proven track record in driving change and automation to deliver efficiency, insight and financial control. You will have strong cash management experience within a transactional focused function and be comfortable with large scale change. Experience across a CASS function is preferred with proven leadership skills and ability to motivate, engage and grow your team on this exciting journey.
