Consolidation & Group Accountant job, Kent, £55k-£60k, IFRS & Consolidation of accounts experience needed
Your new company
You will be working for a large organisation with larger group functions. The Consolidation & Group Accountant job is working remotely, however you will be required to attend their hub office in the heart of Kent at least once a week. this could increase during busy periods and decrease in quieter times. General working hours will be 9 till 5:30.
Your new role
You will be mainly responsible for the production and analysis of all Group Consolidations and Interim Financial Statements. You will be responsible for monthly reporting including the review of monthly balance sheet reports and follow up on detected ledger mis-posts. You will be complete the quarterly reporting which includes prepare the financial statements / investor reports, segmental and proforma calculations, reviewing quarterly stat pack submissions and follow up on errors identified, provide PBC information required by auditors in connection with the quarterly audit of consolidation and the production of quarterly balance sheet commentaries and related AC report. On a n annual basis you will prepare annual Segmental analysis for the financial statements / investor reports, Year-end control tasks such as late posting P12 and P13 journals, producing stat to ledger reconciliations, assist in preparation of notes to the financial statements and other ad hoc tasks as and when required within the team's responsibilities
What you'll need to succeed
You will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) as well as ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. You will have experience of statutory accounts production, consolidation, audit process management and ensuring reporting is correct at a legal entity level. IFRS 16 or 15 experience is a bonus as is Acquisition accounting experience. Ideally you will be from a big company/group accounts function or Insurance/Financial Services or Accountancy Practice.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary in the region of £55k - £60k DOE with 28 days holiday plus bank holiday. You will have the flexibility of working remotely, but in close proximity to Kent so you can attend the office as and when required. You will have Advanced Excel skills including lookups, pivots, macros and modelling.
