They have an established and experienced large finance team on site, and currently have a vacancy for a 12-month contract as a commercial accountant.
Your new role
This job as commercial accountant will have 3 direct reports, and as a team, will be responsible for all the commercial finances of new and existing customers. You will manage client proposals and profitability by effectively managing the costs and pricing strategies, working alongside operational managers across the business. You'll provide management reporting using complex excel spreadsheets to include weekly flash P&L reports, client invoicing reports for use in the management accounts and revenue reports. Finally, you'll work with the Head of FP&A and operational staff to provide sales forecasts for the quarterly reforecast exercise and annual budgeting process.
What you'll need to succeed
This commercial accountant job will suit a qualified accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) who has worked in a fast-paced business where they can demonstrate that they have been able to enhance profitability through the provision of timely, commercial, detailed and accurate financial analysis. The candidate will need good presence, strong interpersonal skills coupled with a confident and hardworking approach.
