CFO required to drive strategic planning and financial management of a successful not for profit organisation.

Your new company
Successful and growing organisation in Leicestershire have engaged Hays Senior Finance to appoint a CFO to help drive strategic growth and oversee the financial management of the business.

Your new role
The primary role of the CFO is to ensure the development and execution of financial strategies to deliver on the Charitable objectives of the organisation. To also ensure the accuracy and completeness of the company's financial statements and full compliance with all laws and regulations in all jurisdictions in which we do business. The CFO shall support the Chief Executive in the development of the budget for consideration by the Board and for delivering the agreed financial strategy and budget once it has been approved by the Board. To formulate and design the best long term structure for finance to meet the organisation's on going needs and development. To develop the financial knowledge and maturity across the SMT through working collaboratively with them. To challenge and contribute constructively to SLT\SMT\Board decision making, using the skills and experience they possess and those generally expected of a CFO. To provide effective day-to-day oversight of the organisation's financial performance.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified leader with demonstrable experience of driving strategic performance and financial management within a not-for-profit/charitable environment. Candidates from industry will be considered although they must have an understanding of charitable accounting.
The successful candidate will be able to engage with colleagues across the business to drive initiatives, ensuring they fully understand the value finance can add to the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
Strong technical and commercial skills are a must along with advanced reporting and IT, including a knowledge of PowerBI or similar.
