Your new role
This is a Business Adviser role that will allow you to lead and manage your own client portfolio for clients in London and South East as well as giving support to a senior business adviser for more complex clients. Your expertise, ambition and support will be needed in your new role to help growth and nurture this boutique firm. This client facing role will require you to provide outstanding service and build an everlasting rapport with every client. Travelling may be required. Responsibilities of the role entail:
- Approach prospective clients and manage your own client portfolio while being supported by an accounting manager
- Supporting accounting managers with training and development and reviewing work done by junior members of the team
- A point of contact for your clients for all enquires and conducting meetings with clients regularly which include providing insight and analysis to all business matters
- Providing support to senior members of the team on complex client cases
- Reviewing statutory accounts
- Review and submission of VAT returns
- Discussion of broader client business issues and how to overcome these
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, ideally you will have an accountancy qualification, including, ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent with post qualification experience. It is advised that you will have sound experience and knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, consolidations, finance processes and UK GAAP and Companies Act. You will ideally be able to handle multiple tasks to an outstanding standard at one time with strong project/time management skills. Along with this, strong computer skills especially in excel, and experience with a variety of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage One/Live) would be a bonus. You will ideally also be required to give outstanding support to clients to understand their every need and be able to adapt and proactively take tasks on to the best of your ability.
