Job Description

Vistra is looking to recruit an Audit Senior with with experience within a UK based professional practice undertaking external audit to join their team of 20 out their Reading office – “Nortons Assurance Limited”.

This role will suit someone who is keen to expand their skill set further; by working on complex tasks, be a part of an ever-expanding global business, who wishes to work with a large International client base, and be a part of a small but perfectly formed, friendly and collaborative team. You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified (or close to completion) – we are not precious when it comes to 1st time passes, but yes, capability and attitude is everything.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To undertake audits under UK GAAP and IFRS
  • To undertake the planning on an audit
  • To draft accounts for manager review
  • To take responsibility for the audit process and ensure all testing is done to a high standard
  • To be involved in formal and on the job training for team members
  • To be prepared to travel to clients in the UK and occasionally overseas

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong Microsoft office skills – Excel and Word
  • Ability to pick up with ease new systems and working practices
  • Knowledge of CaseWare accounting software, but not essential
  • Experience of auditing pension schemes
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or almost complete)
  • At least 30 months experience within a UK based professional practice undertaking external audit
  • Involved in the planning and completion of audits
