Your key responsibilities

As an Audit Manager/Senior Manager, you will work on various Audit engagements in different sectors (Shipping, Industry or Financial Services) in which EY is acknowledged as a market leader. You will influence clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire sectors by:

  • Collaborating with Audit Partners to plan engagement strategy/objectives, undertaking risk assessments and leading the engagements to deliver agreed plan

  • Developing and maintaining productive and long-term relationships with client management

  • Generating new business opportunities, understanding EY services and actively assessing/presenting ways to apply knowledge

  • Recognizing key performance drivers, business trends, emerging technical developments and impact to the clients; being visible in the marketplace and recognized as a quality service advisor

  • Leading by example, developing and mentoring engagement team members and conducting performance reviews

  • Using expertise in audit methodologies to perform engagements in compliance with the firm and industry standards

To qualify for the role, you must have

 
  • At least 6 years of relevant Audit working experience with a proven track record of outstanding performance

  • JES/ACCA/ACA/SOEL qualification (or equivalent)

  • Excellent academic background including a bachelor/master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or other appropriate academic record

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English
  • Flexibility to travel in accordance with client and other job requirements both locally and internationally (travelling is subject to Covid-19 limitations)

 
Ideally, you’ll also have
 
  • Prior working experience in one of the big audit firms
