Job Description

Are you an ACA qualified Audit & Accounts Senior from a small firm general practice background, looking to join an independent firm with Partnership prospects? Are you keen to continue your career in a good quality and friendly independent accountancy firm (with around 10 staff) based in a prime location in Londons trendy West End? Are you looking to continue to carry out a mixed general practice role, where you will be leading all the firms audits assignments in a high profile role mixed 50-60% audit and the remainder of your time split between statutory accounts and tax returns? This unique firm has a very laid back and easy going culture and would suit someone looking for a good work life balance. You will be responsible for leading audits from planning to completion and carrying out all audit work yourself in a hands on capacity. You will report directly to partner level. As well as preparing accounts and tax returns, you will also carry out a number of interesting ad hoc advisory based projects such as due diligence, forensic investigations, budgeting, cashflows, forecasting etc. Your clients will be varied and include industries such as hotels, media, property, entertainment, retail and technology, with turnovers ranging to £40m. There will also be genuine opportunities for you to progress and become a Partner in this firm in the not too distant future, as the two Partners will be retiring in the next 2 to 5 years and they want to pass the business to internal staff members.

To be considered for this new role you must be a qualified ACA Senior with experience of general practice – audit, accounts and tax. You must be looking for another mixed general practice role and be looking for high levels of responsibility, plus a firm with future Partnership prospects on offer. You will likely have a minimum of 5 years of practice experience, although the firm are flexible on the exact amount of experience and would still consider someone newly qualified. You will be working in a small or medium sized practice firm and looking to upgrade to a well established West End Central London firm that will offer you better opportunities, progression and future development. This firm has also had great success with candidates who have lived outside of London and relocated to London to work in a good quality, friendly mid tier firm. Experience of a wide range of clients would be an advantage as would enthusiasm to progress in a short space of time.
