Job Description

Are you a fully ACA qualified Audit & Accounts Manager from a medium sized firm, looking to upgrade to a very good quality, medium sized City based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role consisting of audit, accounts preparation work, tax returns and various advisory based projects?  Are you keen to work in a very good quality firm with excellent progression to senior manager / director grade on offer? You will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of clients (C£500k GRF) and assist with staff management and with the smooth running of the audit and accounts department. Your role will be mixed evenly between audit work, accounts preparation and tax, although the exact split can be varied depending on your experience and interests. About 10% of your role being spent on advisory based projects. Based in a general practice role in a firm with around 50 staff, you will also be responsible for tendering for new business with partners. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects to a higher level promised for the right candidate, due to some partners due to retire in the next 5 years. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media and entertainment, property, legal, technology, retail and other interesting sectors. This firm has had great success with people who have trained around the UK and want to relocate to London. Experience of Caseware would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary.

To be considered for this new role you must currently be acting as an Audit Manager or Audit & Accounts Manager, from a medium or large size firm (or have worked in both a large and smaller firm in your career). You must be fully ACA qualified, have a strong academic background and have post qualification experience. First time passes in your ACA are highly desirable. You must have general practice experience including preparing statutory accounts, audit assignments, corporation tax returns, supervising juniors and managing a portfolio of clients. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Caseware would be an advantage. A strong interest in a role mixed between audit, accounts preparations and tax returns is essential. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
