Job Description

Hays Senior Finance are currently recruiting exclusively for Two Rivers Housing, an independent not-for-profit organisation based in the beautiful Forest of Dean, with a £22 million turnover. In 2003 they took on the properties previously owned and managed by the district council, and now own more than 4,000 homes across Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. For you, for your community, not for profit

About the role

An exciting opportunity within the leadership team at Two Rivers Housing.

Working with our Executive team and the Assistant Director of Assets, Assistant Director of Housing and Assistant Director of People & Culture, you'll play a key part in shaping the direction and future of the organisation - supporting the development of corporate strategy and service design and helping shape and deliver performance objectives and annual plans and priorities.

You will also play a key role in helping Two Rivers to find and secure new funding streams. This will support ambitious target to deliver 1,000 new homes in the local area over the next 10 years - making a real difference to thousands of people in need of quality, affordable homes across the county.

As a qualified Accountant, you will have proven experience in managing both financial and management accounting functions that deliver a high performing finance service in a dynamic environment. You will also have experience of managing resource functions such as finance, IT and project management.

About Two Rivers Housing

As a registered charity, Two Rivers provides over 4,000 affordable homes in the beautiful Forest of Dean and surrounding areas.

Two Rivers is more than just a landlord - our organisation is dedicated to creating great homes and supporting the communities we work in. Our team offers a wide range of additional services to help improve the lives of our tenants from help and advice on debt and welfare to repairs, maintenance and adaptations.

The social housing sector faces many challenges - building safety, managing the pressures of Universal Credit on our tenants and responding to the environmental challenges. Our tenant satisfaction scores suggest we're managing these challenges well - but this Top 100 organisation stands out from the rest because of its profit-for-purpose activities.

They believe that by investing in their team, they can provide the very best support and value to their tenants, while maintaining the corporate health of our organisation.

Two Rivers Housing also has several ethical commercial businesses. Centigen Facilities Management, TwoCan Estate Agents and Tandem Living complement and support the core purpose of providing quality affordable homes and provide an additional income for the Housing Association. This additional income is invested in improving our existing homes and building new ones addressing the need for affordable housing in the region. They also provide job opportunities for people within our rural community.

If you are a Senior Finance professional who has a real desire to make a difference and create change within a growing organisation, I would be very keen to hear from you. Housing experience isn't essential but would be advantageous.
