Job Description

• Planning, allocating resources and team members in accordance with skills and schedules
• Guiding the teams in analysing trial balance data and finalising the audit plan.
• Discussing the audit distribution and audit plans with the supervisor/manager
• Ensure that audit file has all the necessary documents prior to initiation of audit.
• Visiting the auditor for the introductory meeting
• Guide the teams in formulating the work flow chart, identifying potential risk areas, internal control flaws, adequacy of internal control systems and recommending new policies and procedures
• Gauging levels of financial risk with each client
• Discussing with client’s areas of concerns or audit findings
• Ensuring the completion of Caseware and hard copy files by auditors
• Liaising with managerial staff and presenting findings and recommendations
• Finalising the management letter
• Completing and reviewing the financial statements
• Verifying the draft financial statements
• Reviewing the corporate governance reports for group or listed companies
• Resolution of accounting/technical issues raised by clients
• Ensuring members of the audit team communicate, interact and collaborate effectively
• Act with objectivity, independence and integrity
• Reviewing the time spent by the teams on each audit assignment and performance levels
• Provide timely feedback to supervisors/managers in relation to ongoing job performance
• Conducting presentations during the monthly training held by the firm
• Continues to build on professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops
• Is informed of the latest developments in the ISA & IFRS standards
• Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level and present a favourable impression of the firm
• Maintaining and updating of time sheets
• Conduct interviews for prospective candidates
• Formulate progress reports for ongoing assignments to be reviewed by the audit manager
• Timely reporting to clients and office based on the office hours
