Job Description

Advisory:

KPMG in the Channel Islands has a team of professionals from both business and accountancy backgrounds specialising in the delivery of advisory services.  We provide services the following areas:

•Risk & Regulatory
•Deal work
•Restructuring; and
•Digital Advisory. 
 

We are looking for someone to help drive forward and grow our business in the Risk and Regulatory environment.

Job Purpose:

To be an Advisory leader living and working in Jersey, winning work and managing the wider Advisory team.  Leading client deliverables and ensuring effective and profitable client service. 

Accountabilities:

•Build and maintain a strong network of local, external industrial influencers and potential clients
•Prepare and deliver client pitches and proposals
•Develop commercial awareness and knowledge of the financial service industries in Guernsey and Jersey and a strong awareness of worldwide current affairs and industry standards
•Develop own and team knowledge of all KPMG service lines to enable cross-selling of multidisciplinary good and services
•Lead teams on a range of advisory projects, maintaining an understanding of the needs of key internal and external stakeholders
•Motivate team members and provide effective performance management, develop opportunities and career guidance to all members of the advisory team
 

Candidate Requirements

•Well rounded experience with strong technical background, ability to win and service work and a commercial mindset
•Professional qualification required
•Excellent relationship building and presentation skills
•Strong financial and commercial analytical skills
•Proven report writing experience
•Experience running multiple projects and work streams and working to tight deadlines
•Stakeholder management – dealing with multiple parties in distressed situations and building effective relationships
•Language requirements – excellent spoken, listening and written English
