Business Services Controller/Supervisor

We are currently recruiting for a Business Services Controller/Supervisor to join Kreston Reeves in the Agri/Private Client team in Chichester.

Role Description

As Business Services Controller/Supervisor you will report to managers and partners, take responsibility for completing tasks accurately and to deadline and liaise with clients in line with the Client Charter.  You will be expected to travel to and from clients’ premises and also from other offices time to time.  You will also gain new work from existing or new clients where possible and develop your technical expertise and progress against technical competencies.

The objectives of the role

To contribute to the provision of an excellent service to a diverse range of clients

Responsibilities

 Along with those responsibilities mentioned above you will:

  • Assist managers and partners with technical research and technical writing
  • Prepare draft letters and emails relating to more complex issues for Manager/Partner approval
  • Identify potential for more complex tax planning opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies.
  • Prepare forms P11D
  • Supervise preparation of corporate, partnership and sole trader accounts for partner/manager review
  • Supervise preparation of tax computations and corporation tax returns for review
  • Monitoring budgets/costs and assisting with billing procedures

These tasks will be carried out subject to minimal or no supervision.

Requirements

  • 2 A Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above
  • Qualified/part qualified ACCA or ACA or qualified by experience (possibly with AAT)
  • Working knowledge of Key, Key Prime, Sage and Xero would be beneficial.
  • Team player
  • Good communication skills
