Job Description

Are you a fully ACA qualified Accounts & Audit Senior / General Practice Senior / Accounts Senior looking to gain training how to complete audits, looking to upgrade to a very good quality, medium size London based accountancy firm and carry out a varied role consisting of accounts preparation work, tax returns, audit assignments and various advisory based projects?  Are you keen to work in a firm with excellent progression to manager grade on offer? Your role will be split 70% statutory accounts and tax with 20% spent on audit assignments and 10% spent on ad hoc projects such as management accounts, business valuations, cashflows, budgets, forecasts, due diligence etc). If you don’t have audit experience audit training will be provided. All staff in this firm carry out mixed general practice roles so you will gain exposure to all areas of accountancy. Based in a firm with around 50 staff, you will be responsible for preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of clients, as well as corporation tax computations and leading small audit from planning to completion. You will deal with client queries, technical research, HMRC queries and also be responsible for supervising juniors and reviewing their work. Your role will be varied, challenging and hugely enjoyable with great progression prospects to manager grade on offer. In this new role, you will gain exposure to a wide range of UK and international clients, including groups, from sectors including media and entertainment, property, legal, technology, retail and other interesting sectors. The firm would look at a recently qualified ACA, a finalist, or someone with some post qualification experience. This firm has had great success with people who have trained outside of London and want to relocate to a London firm for the exposure and opportunities on offer. Experience of a range of software packages would be an advantage but training will be provided if necessary.

To be considered for this new role you must have at least three years experience, probably in a small or medium size accountancy firm and either be a fully qualified ACA (either newly qualified or with a few years post qualification experience) or a finalist with a few exams remaining. You must have experience of preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, supervising juniors and ideally managing clients. Audit experience is desirable but not essential. Experience of a wide range of software packages, including Caseware would be an advantage as is a desire to work in a mixed general practice role. You must be well presented, be a team player, and be looking to progress at a rapid pace.
