Job Description

The Accounting Reporting Manager will be joining the financial control team who report all accounting and reporting of actual results to the Group. This role will have a technical finance angle, but will also be business facing with the Accounting Reporting Manager actively building excellent working relationships with various stakeholders.

The Accounting Reporting Manager's key accountabilities:

  • Validate the financial processes implemented in the General Accounting team, review accounts delivered to ensure compliance, and support the team as needed.
  • Set up and follow up KPIs to monitor and improve the efficiency of the closing process and other GL activities
  • Ensure the development of a close relationship with external business units
  • Contribute to finance projects as appropriate
  • Planning, animation and monitoring of activities: pre-closing, closing, reporting, audit
  • Prepare closing options for validation (risks & opps, identification, accruals…)
  • Review and validation of monthly reporting and bi-annual consolidation packages
  • Prepare the financial statements for local / legal requirements (e.g. Pension trustees, minority shareholders, etc..)
  • Integrity checks of interfaces to accounting system, follow up of resolution
  • Manage relationship with internal and external auditors
  • FBU support in forecasting process: valuation of assets (acquisitions, disposals, impairment, leases), cash, taxes, etc.
  • Guarantee an effective internal control system in the accounting and closing process


The ideal Accounting Reporting Manager:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting standards
  • Relevant industry exprience (e.g consumer goods/FMCG) - desirable, but not essential
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Able to commute the Wiltshire based site (business offers working from home options)
  • Excellent communication skills
