Your new company
Join an established Finance team within a large, progressive organisation in Blackburn, working full-time on-site at the businesses' modern offices. Reporting to the FD, you will have the opportunity to drive real change in a growing team.
Your new role
As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies, policies, systems, and approaches, while maintaining strong oversight of the transactional accounting process. You will provide strong leadership for a team of finance professionals, ensuring the team performs in line with expectations from senior leadership. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role within the finance function, partnering with stakeholders, suppliers, and various departments. Your duties will include driving the successful implementation of operating plans, providing technical guidance, analysing complex data, and contributing to the development of new processes and systems.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with over 5 years of post-qualification experience. You will have worked in a large, complex organisation previously, with strong knowledge of IFRS/local GAAP, proven experience in financial management, and excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential. You should have a track record of successfully developing and implementing financial processes, controls, systems, and business reporting.
