Finance Analyst

Your new company

Hays Accountancy and Finance are partnering with a leading and established Global FMCG brand to recruit a driven and dynamic Finance Analyst to join their site in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire. The role will offer training/development with progression opportunities suited to an AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will join a team of regional finance analysts and support with the preparation/analysis of weekly/monthly reporting. The position will offer a study package for finance qualifications with the opportunity to partner internally with a range of stakeholders. Open to Account Assistants and Assistant Accountants who are looking to move into a Financial Analyst role, or junior Finance Analysts seeking a progressive position.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve supporting the Financial Controller in budgetary cost control, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting. Preparation of management accounts, KPI's, ad-hoc journals, reviewing monthly accounts and supporting accurate weekly/monthly reporting. You will assist in variance analysis to aid decision-making, liaise internally with operational management to understand risk/opportunities, prepare expense reports, prepare labour reports and develop effective cross-functional relationships at all levels with internal stakeholders around the group. You will support preparing budgets, prepare monthly cost reports, and manage relationships with third-party suppliers. You will support the Financial Controller and Financial Analyst teams in ad-hoc projects and analysis/reporting to support further company growth.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this fast-paced Financial Analyst role, you will need some experience within a similar position, key analytical skills with the ability to provide insights from data, excellent organisational skills, and strong communication skills to build both internal/external relationships at all levels. You will have key MS Excel skills, trained in a range of financial systems, be a self-starter who is willing to learn and adapt to company needs. Ideally, you will be studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT, and finance professionals qualified by experience will be considered. You will be an excellent problem-solver with a key eye for accuracy/detail. Experience with SAP financial system and within the FMCG sector would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Finance Analyst role is offering a salary up to £32,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire.
