We are partnering with a reputable independent tax practice to search for their next Corporate Tax Advisory Manager. This multi-office firm is a highly specialised tax practice that delivers market-leading advisory projects that rival that of the Big 4. They cover that spans all aspects of tax advice including, corporate & international tax, private client, employment tax, VAT, transactions, share schemes & valuations and Innovations (R&D) relief. They will work with a highly varied client base, from large companies and listed businesses to start-ups and SMEs. They have offices nationwide and offer a highly attractive hybrid working model with a 'no timesheets' culture and flexible working for part-time and full-time Corporate Tax Managers.
Your new role
Your new Manchester-based role as a Corporate Tax Advisory Manager will be to help maintain and further capitalise on the continued growth of an already successful business in the tax advice field. This team deals with claims pertaining to a broad range of projects for HNWIs, entrepreneurs and private business owners, including IHT planning and use of IHT efficient structures, complex capital gains tax transactions, the use of trusts and the UK tax implications for non-UK residents/domiciles. This role will involve the preparing and delivering of a variety of types of tax advisory assignments.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this Manchester-based job opportunity as a Corporate Tax Advisory Manager or Senior Manager, you will need to be CTA or ATT and/or ACA qualified and have a proven track record in the field (minimum 4-5 years), having worked previously in a Big 4 or Top 20 accountancy practice. You may have already moved out of industry into a corporate tax role. You will need a highly developed understanding of tax advice, with experience dealing with a variety of different clients. You will have a keen eye for spotting other opportunities for your new client base and sell wider firm services when possible. You will need to be accurate and articulate when dealing with clients, with the ability to manage their expectations of timelines and projected rebate returns.
