Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading and well-established Agricultural group based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire to recruit a dynamic and experienced Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take the lead on all aspects of accounting and finance for the farming division of the Group, including reporting, cashflow forecasting, budgeting analysis, as well as supporting commercial decision-making. This permanent and varied Management Accounting role is open to part-qualified/qualified Accountants as well as Finance Professionals who are qualified by experience. Your new role

Your key duties will involve producing clear monthly reports based on financial year with insightful commentary and variance analysis compared to budget. Reporting on both cash flow and profitability for various entities within the group, reviewing current financial processes, systems and controls, along with making suggestions for improvements and efficiencies. You will maintain financial records, maximise cashflow and provide a high level of service to various internal/external stakeholders, proactively help manage costs and build relationships with others within the finance team, as well as operational management. You will perform financial analysis to aid key decision-making and be a lead contributor for your entities during the annual audit and budgeting processes. You will work closely with the Financial Controller to improve systems/processes and company risk mitigation, along with supporting detail on business balance sheets. You will be involved in ad-hoc projects and duties to support further company growth.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and varied Management Accountant/Finance Business Partner role, you will need experience within a similar position, strong attention to detail, with key communication skills to partner internally/externally at all levels. You will have strong MS excel skills, trained in a range of financial systems with self-motivation and a drive to improve processes. You will have a customer-focused approach, be logical solving problems, and be able to delegate/motivate others within the team. You will be part-qualified/qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or qualified by experience, and be adaptable to business needs. Experience within the Agricultural or Farming sectors would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Management Accountant role is offering a salary between £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire. Flexible start/finish times, study package if required for ACA/CIMA/ACCA, quarterly bonus scheme, health care scheme, progression/development and more.
