Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working exclusively with this construction business based in Shrewsbury who are looking for an Accountant to work with them on a permanent basis. You will be joining this business at a very exciting time. They have some great growth plans over the next few years and have also evolved their business into new markets to enhance their growth in the future.
Your new role
This role will be a progressive one. They are looking for a Financial Controller who wants to grow within the business and become an integral part of the company. The job will involve; producing monthly management accounts, month-end, VAT returns, accruals ad prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations, managing a small finance team of 2 ledger clerks and supporting them with annual statutory accounts and year-end audits.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a management accounting role, they will be happy to work to tight deadlines and comfortable in a growing SME business.
This job comes with a salary range of £40,000 - £50,000 per annnum, 25 days holiday, pension scheme and free parking.
