Your new company
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing AI business in London. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all statutory accounts, interpreting complex accounting standards, and managing day-to-day bookkeeping.
Your new role
- You'll be responsible for the full financial lifecycle, from statutory accounts preparation (FRS102, IFRS) to complex consolidations.
- Manage external audits, build strong relationships with auditors, and confidently address complex accounting issues.
- Streamline processes, improve reporting, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations (VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.).
- Provide insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions and advise on tax optimisation strategies.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and confidently navigate ad-hoc projects, from M&A accounting to system implementations.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA/ACCA qualification with at least 6-8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Deep understanding of FRS102, IFRS, and UK GAAP.
- Proven experience in financial audit, with a strong track record of managing external auditors.
- Expert in financial consolidation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - you'll be interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
