Your new company
Your new firm is an established, growing proactive accountancy practice based out of Basingstoke. They are one of the pillars of accountancy within the local area and specialise in sole traders from a variety of sectors and a range of organisations just below the audit threshold. They know that the client/accountant relationship is king, and that's why every client is assigned a director, and it is the director that drives the relationship. They regularly receive positive feedback from their clients on how much they appreciate the level of service and care they deliver.
Your new role
- Supervise the workload associated with a varied client portfolio.
- Lead projects, including management and budget planning.
- Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for clients as required.
- Review of bookkeeping and organisation of accounting records.
- Review of and submission of VAT returns.
- Provide excellent service for clients, being the go-to person for any queries.
- Proactively identify opportunities for clients and communicate actions clearly.
- Work closely with the senior management team, including supporting partners on projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- ACA/ICAEW/ACCA qualification
- Stable practice experience + 2 years post-qualification experience
- Positive proactive outlook on your role
- Comfortability working in Basingstoke and attending to on-site client visits
