Management Accountant

Hays finance is partnering with a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, known for our innovative products and commitment to quality. Due to continued growth and an internal promotion, they are looking to add a talented Management Accountant to their dynamic finance team.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in the production of management accounts. You will be responsible for providing insightful reporting and commentary to non-finance stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce monthly management accounts.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a similar finance position, specifically in management accounts.
• Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or relevant experience.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
