Hays finance is partnering with a leading player in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, known for our innovative products and commitment to quality. Due to continued growth and an internal promotion, they are looking to add a talented Management Accountant to their dynamic finance team.
Your new role
As a Management Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in the production of management accounts. You will be responsible for providing insightful reporting and commentary to non-finance stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce monthly management accounts.
- Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support the Financial Controller with ad-hoc financial projects and tasks.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a similar finance position, specifically in management accounts.
- Accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or relevant experience.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
