Your new company:

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading & rapidly growing group in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of the group's operational finance team to produce group management accounts, along with operational financial information and supporting with annual statutory processes across the business. This permanent position is seeking a finance professional who can start immediately or on short-notice, open to part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experienced finance professionals.

Your new role:

  • Monthly management accounts; balance sheet review and P&L and group reporting
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Journal postings
  • Intercompany reconciliations and returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • VAT reconciliations
  • CIS reconciliations
  • Processing payments; BACs
  • Assist with year-end audit process
  • Supporting in the purchase ledger and credit control departments outside of the month-end period
  • Management of daily accounts routines, journals, bank transactions, prepayments, accruals, maintenance of fixed asset register, timely and controlled supplier payments, reconciliations
  • All Payroll and pensions administration, UK and Overseas
  • Liaison with the Company's external accountants, to plan and complete year-ends, tax planning, calculations and return


What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this varied and hands-on Management Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position. Key MS Excel skills (pivots/lookups), trained in a range of financial systems with strong communication skills to partner both internally/externally at all levels. Good attention to detail, adaptable to business needs and willing to learn. You will be qualified by experience or part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA, a key team player, but also able to use your own initiative and problem solve. Experience with Business Central would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Management Accountant role is offering a salary between £40,000 - £48,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire.
