Job Details

Role: Management Accountant

Location: Castleford Hybrid (2/week in office)

Salary: £47-57K

Our client is part of an international group of transport technology businesses. They manufacture next-gen hardware for several high-profile clients in the rail, parking and bus infrastructure spaces. This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious management accountant that wants to take their next step into a fast-growing role with built-in progression. You will effectively be the key finance POC for their Castleford based business.

You will report directly in the the MD and have 2 transactional finance members underneath yourself.

Responsibilities:
* Business partnering by actively supporting the MD in defining / executing business strategy by providing financial analysis and insight to the business.
* Lead the quarterly forecast process
* Assist project teams to guide their focus onto key performance issues and help them measure their impact and improvement.
* Reporting with a mix of internal and external - including monthly and quarterly reporting to their head office overseas.
* Preparation of monthly management accounts, P&L, Management reports, KPIs and variance analysis.
* Experience with IFRS's (especially IFRS15).
* Responsible for payroll including commission calculations, accounts payable, inventory, credit control and cash flow statements, intercompany balances, prepayments, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations.
* Statutory reporting: Responsible for the UK Legal entity and all relevant legal requirements including quarterly VAT returns, annual external audit, financial statement preparation and corporation tax returns.


Key Experience:

*Understanding of accounting standards / IFRS.
*Proven experience of designing and implementing new processes and internal controls is essential.
* Implementation of a new ERP (desirable)
