Job Details
Select is renowned for providing exceptional modular temporary accommodation and site solutions, playing a key role in the delivery of some of the UK's most iconic construction projects.
Select are looking for a high calibre Management Accountant who will act as a finance lead within one or more Select Divisions. This role is an opportunity to join a progressive company and will offer the right candidate a range of career options. It will involve exposure to the business unit directors, central finance and commercial & operational staff across the business. As Management Accountant you will business partner with Divisional Leaders to drive divisional performance and lead the budgeting and planning process within the division.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for Division.
- Prepare monthly management accounts packs for Finance Leader review.
- Presentation of Divisional financials at monthly contract reviews
- Promote financial understanding, controls and diligence across the relevant Select Divisions, through interaction with non-finance staff on issues such as cash management and asset controls.
- Lead Divisional capital investment programme and assist in writing Capital business cases.
- Own Divisional Fixed asset register ensuring assets are accurately recorded, depreciated and physically controlled.
Key Skills
- Fully qualified accountant
- A desire to build a career in a highly commercial environment and the ability to work effectively through influence (rather than through direct control) are essential.
- Effective communicator, a strong team ethic and a desire to share knowledge
- Confident, ambitious, well-rounded and able to relate to senior executives
- Analytical, flexible and creative: able to research complex issues and solve poorly defined problems in innovative ways, with an attention to detail
- Commercial acumen, with experience at working across businesses / disciplines
