Your new company

Our client is an early stage technology business which stands poised for significant growth.

Your new role
Reporting to the CFO in the US, this role is broad and hands on, taking the lead in managing the Company's day-to-day financial operations, whilst also supporting ad hoc and project activities, e.g. system and process implementation. You will liaise with the Company's outsourced bookkeeper/accountant and must also be comfortable working with both US and DE entities and their finances, including consolidation.

On a day-to-day basis, you will oversee bookkeeping, ledger accounting and financial control and be responsible for p2p software implementation and control. As well as management of purchasing and expense processes, you will produce monthly management accounts and liaise with the Company's external auditors. Quarterly budgeting and forecasting, reporting to investors and quarterly VAT submission will all be part of your remit as well as liaising with the external payroll provider.
As the Financial Controller, you will present at Company Board meetings monthly on financial matters and hold responsibility for the management of funds/deposits to optimise security, interest, and liquidity as well as monitoring the spend against grants, R&D projects and larger contracts.

What you'll need to succeed The ideal candidate would be a qualified accountant who has experience in a start-up or fast-growth environment. You will have covered operational as well as purely financial matters and have the ability to manage and deal with change, as well as the ability to credibly represent the Finance and Operations functions, both internally and externally.

What you'll get in return
This broad, operational role offers plenty of variety in a fascinating company with growth plans that could present future staff management opportunities.
