Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a global engineering group based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire to recruit a driven and dynamic FP&A Analyst to join their growing accounting team. Reporting directly to the Head Of FP&A you will have control of core financial operational processes including revenue, cost of sales and royalties to ensure integrity of monthly financial outputs. You will play a key part in providing information which will steer senior management and the wider business on key performance drivers and decision-making. Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparing for and attending weekly flash forecast meetings to assess the latest financial position of the company. Posting/reconciling items that relate to revenue, cost of sales and royalties including profit/loss and balance sheet nominals. You will support internal operational management to understand the financial performance which will aid decision-making, assist in budgeting/forecasting processes, along with data gathering and analysis to feed into group reporting. You will produce the management report pack including financial analysis of information and variances to budgets/forecast. You will maintain and analyse cashflows, financial reports and summarise current and projected financial positions. You will attend operational meetings and business partner with others to see where finance can positively impact the business, ensure all reporting information is relevant/accurate and be involved in ad-hoc projects/duties to strengthen the FP&A team, including process improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this progressive FP&A analyst role, you will need experience in a similar position; a part-qualified/finalist or qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong MS Excel skills and key financial systems experience. Experience of analysing large data sets, with the ability to communicate confidentially at all levels to explain financial information to both financial and non-financial management. You will be able to establish/develop business relationships across all functions, able to embrace and actively support a changing and rapidly progressive business. You will have strong problem-solving skills and be able to effectively prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines. You will be proactive and dynamic, willing to learn and adaptable to business needs. Experience with complex financial models and within a large multinational organisation in the manufacturing/engineering sector would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent and progressive FPA&A Analyst role offers a salary between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependable on experience) + up to 16 % annual bonus, based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Remote/office hybrid working offered (4 days on-site, 1 day remote), flexible start/finish times, study package if applicable for CIMA/ACCA/ACA, holiday buy/sell scheme, annual salary reviews, early finish on Fridays, contributed pension scheme, progression/development, and further group benefits.
