Hays Senior Finance has been engaged by a specialist manufacturing company between Swindon and Newbury to appoint a newly created #1 in Finance role for the £20m turnover business.

The business has recently undergone changes in its ownership and governance and so this is an excellent time to join the established business set for expansion and growth, in a hands-on, autonomous position.


Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Controller or Finance Manager to lead and develop the local accounting team as well as partner with the Senior Leadership Team to drive commercially focused decisions.

As the Finance Manager, you will;

• Lead and develop the local accounting team in a motivational and supervisory capacity,
• Business partner with operational leadership and to aid commercial decision-making,
• Lead budget and forecasting processes and implement improvements where necessary,
• Take ownership of monthly management reporting and year-end reporting,
• Ensure a robust control environment within finance and the wider business.
  
  
  

What you'll need to succeed
Our client is looking exclusively for an experienced, fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) finance leader with a background in either manufacturing, FMCG, or pharmaceutical industries.

The ability to business partner with senior non-finance stakeholders, and manage a small experienced finance team is critical for this role, as well as strong technical accounting skills and the enthusiasm to take on a hands-on role at times. It is essential that you have management level experience of costing and other manufacturing specific nuances and are able to influence decision makers at the executive level.
