Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with this public sector organisation based in the West Midlands who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the financial management, budgeting and cost control for the operational services of the organisation.
You will act as a true business partner, managing and leading a small team of two, with your key responsibilities including:
- Supporting the production of accurate group management accounts, including reporting to senior management
- Producing the monthly management accounts for the operational services functions; analysing financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities
- Business Partnering across the operations and central services functions, providing high quality financial information and advice, challenging where appropriate
- Supporting the month-end close process
- Supporting the production of the annual budget
- Leading and managing a small, high-performing team
- Conducting financial analysis and reporting as required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in the position, you will:
- Be an ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified Accountant or Finalist
- Have proven experience in a Finance Business Partnering, Senior Management Accountant or Finance Manager position with extensive budget preparation, regular monitoring and forecasting and reporting experience
- Have the ability to lead and develop a small team
