A leading Manufacturing / Engineering SME in Blackburn.
Your new role
A key Management Accountant / Finance Manager role, reporting to the Head of Finance and leading a small team of 3.
You will ensure that all financial transactions of the business have been fully reconciled and recorded in line with company policy and accounting standards and monthly management accounts to strict deadlines. You will oversee all day to day financial transactions and lead the team. Prepare monthly management accounts including full P&L and Balance Sheet. You will monitor Work In Progress and cost analysis. You will assist the HOF with budgets and forecasts and other ad-hoc analysis, such as sales performance. You will control fixed assets and report on any capital expenditure. Assist with year-end audit and other year-end processes.
What you'll need to succeed You will ideally be a fully qualified accountant, with experience of a Management Accountant / FM role in a manufacturing / engineering or distribution business. You will have broad management and financial accounting experience and be comfortable leading a small team of staff. You will be highly IT literate and previous experience of ERP systems, such as SAP, would be an advantage. Able to start quickly, you will be happy to commit to an interim role of at least six months.
