Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a private equity-backed manufacturing/engineering group to recruit a dynamic and experienced Finance Manager for their Staverton, Gloucestershire site. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, working in a fast-paced and rapidly growing business, you will own, manage and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet. The position can offer future career development, remote/office hybrid working, competitive bonus scheme and further group benefits. Open to finance professionals who are part-qualified/qualified or qualified by experience. Remote/office hybrid working offered and flexible start/finish times with an early finish on a Friday.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve leading month-end processing, reporting into group consolidation and business reporting. Owning all balance sheet reconciliations for multiple sites, presenting monthly variance analysis to the financial controller, preparing monthly/quarterly VAT returns, monthly reconciliations of intercompany accounts, presenting quarterly balance sheet reviews to group finance, leading various projects of balance sheet reconciliations improvement, along with data interrogations and production of meaningful analysis to drive decision-making within the business. You will work closely with the transactional finance team to support with key projects, assist with internal/external site audits, ensure financial controls are maintained and reviewed, along with ad-hoc duties/projects for senior financial management. You will support finance interns and junior finance team members when required.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this fast-paced Finance Manager role, you will need experience in a similar position; part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or qualified by experience. Strong MS excel and data skills, key financial systems experience, with the ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines. You will have strong communication skills to partner both internally/externally at all levels, key attention to detail and be comfortable in a changing/growing environment that is always looking to continuously improve. You will be able to investigate problems, resolve queries with an analytical and proactive working approach. Experience within the manufacturing sector, global and large businesses would be advantageous but not essential.

This permanent Finance Manager role offers a salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Staverton, Gloucestershire with remote/office hybrid working.
