Hays Senior Finance are recruiting on behalf of their exclusive & fully retained client based near Kinross for a permanent Accountant that offers career progression and a varied commercial workload. Salary is £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience + 32 days annual leave, competitive pension and a half day on a Friday. This is an office-based role that offers work on various exciting projects alongside financial analysis, management accounting & also some financial accounting responsibilities. Most importantly, this role offers career progression to Senior Accountant and ultimately a leadership role for the right person.
Your new role
Reporting in to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening our client's finance function and supporting major business initiatives, including a significant redevelopment project, the implementation of a new ERP system, and the formalisation of processes within the finance department. You will complete financial & costing analysis, monthly management accounting & reporting & finance business partnering. You will also deal with some financial accounting responsibilities, including fixed asset accounting & VAT. You will be heavily involved in reporting streamlining & improvement, helping enhance finance & operational efficiency.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a proactive and analytically-minded Accountant with strong experience within Management Accounting & Financial Analysis. You will possess an inquisitive mindset with a drive to continually improve processes. You will have an ability to work alongside senior stakeholders providing insights & financial guidance. You will possess excellent IT skills including Excel and ideally an ERP system but this is not essential. You will have the desire and the potential to take on a leadership role within the finance department in the future.
