Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are currently supporting an excellent food manufacturing business based in Evesham with the recruitment of a Commercial Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
You will be a key part of the management team and be responsible for controlling the day-to-day operations of the plant, supporting across key financial areas and acting as a business partner to a range of stakeholders throughout the company.

Key duties:

• Monthly management reporting with supporting analysis
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
• Business partnering with key internal departments (sales, supply chain, production etc.) to help drive financial performance
• Analyse production activity and performance
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process
• Cashflow management and monitoring
• Ownership of the product costing process and supporting with new product development
• Monitoring of costs, variances, supply chain costs and G&A costs
• Support colleagues in Capex requests and investments follow-up

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified/part-qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or QBE
• Experience of managing day-to-day processes and ensuring relevant controls are in place
• Manufacturing background and comfortable working in a fast-moving business (costing experience highly advantageous)
• Commercially minded with the confidence to challenge the status quo
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships
• Highly proficient with Excel (XLookUps, VLookUps, Pivot Tables) and data analysis/manipulation
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP an advantage)
