Accounting & Tax Manager

A leading global specialist manufacturer based in Fareham seeks an Accounting & Tax Manager to lead on accounts and internal controls on a permanent basis.


Your new role
Reporting to the deputy finance lead, you will be responsible for owning the preparation of the statutory financial statements under FRS102, acting as the primary contact for external auditors, managing all aspects of the statutory financial statements and year-end audit process.
You will oversee and contribute to accurate delivery of FI accounting entries for the monthly close process, including inter-company alignment. To ensure broader alignment, you will also liaise with the wider Finance team to deliver monthly reviews of balance sheet reconciliations and action as appropriate, culminating in the management of the quarterly consolidation, reporting to the group.
Additional duties will include:

* Driving the annual review and action plan of site adherence to group-mandated control processes.
* Partnering with HR to provide oversight of monthly cost control.
* Assisting credit control and company cash management.
* Working together with SAP key users to maintain, review and drive the evolution of accounting systems and control processes.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent QBE) with 2-5 years post-qualified experience.
You will be an exceptional relationship builder, managing internal customers and stakeholders with discretion. You will also hold thorough and up-to-date knowledge of accounting policies and procedures. You will have a structured and pragmatic approach to your role, be comfortable in fast-paced and changeable environments and have a natural self-improvement mindset. Experience of SAP is an added bonus.


What you'll get in return
