This is a permanent full-time role with hybrid working and flexible working options.
The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and delivering consultancy services to clients across all areas of personal tax.
  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and ensuring compliance with HM Revenue & Customs and in-house deadlines.
  • Assisting with client queries and providing ad hoc advice where requested.
  • Billing personal portfolio clients after work completion.
  • Dealing with correspondence, telephone calls, and arranging and attending meetings with clients and potential clients.
  • Assisting partners and staff members with technical queries.
  • Providing assistance to junior members of the team where appropriate.
  • Assisting in the preparation of technical reports in relation to income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
  • Dealing with HMRC correspondence, telephone calls, and enquiries.
  • General support to the tax team as required.

About You

  • Experience within a private client tax team.
  • ATT qualified, ideally working towards CTA.
  • A self-starter with a high level of resilience and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong aptitude for IT - able to pick up new technology quickly.
  • Can-do attitude, positive and commercial approach.
  • Confident, tactful, and discreet manner.
  • Strong team spirit but also effective working independently.
