Job Details
At the same time there has been a significant shift in the global tax environment as tax and statutory authorities look to leverage new digital technologies, including GenAI. As tax authorities and the way they respond become more sophisticated, the need for transparency including expanded cross border information, creates more burdensome tax compliance and reporting requirements with compressed time frames. In addition, the introduction of Pillar Two represents a paradigm shift in the way organisations will need to maintain, analyse and report their data.
Tax reporting has historically been an area where organisations have relied on manual / excel-based processes which are error prone and provide insufficient control. As a result we have seen a sharp increase in the number of clients looking to implement cloud-based tax reporting solutions. This represents a fantastic growth opportunity for the Tax LoS.
Role
We need an experienced director to:
- Drive business development and sales pipeline for corporate tax reporting technology, including Pillar Two.
- Lead large scale corporate tax reporting / provision solution / Pillar Two implementations for large UK and overseas listed companies across a broad range of sectors from pre-sale through to design, implementation and hypercare.
- Lead corporate tax reporting / Pillar Two input into largescale ERP / EPM implementations, working alongside UK Tax ERP and Data team.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with external software vendors and continued professional development in upskilling on the tax technology landscape, including new or updated solutions.
- Support the development of the pipeline of talent joining the tax technology team, working closely with the team to ensure adherence to best practice and providing training, coaching and development.
- Drive the evolution of PwC's approach to Pillar Two technology and data, assisting clients in the deployment of technology to meet Pillar Two reporting and compliance requirements.
Skills and Experience
- Must possess a CTA / ACA Qualification (or an international equivalent) or have equivalent work experience. This includes international candidates who qualify through experience in their home country
- Strong experience of implementing tax and/or finance technology for the purposes of corporate tax and reporting processes (e.g. Longview Tax, Oracle TRCS, ONESOURCE Tax Provision, Orbitax GMT, etc).
- Excellent understanding of process requirements gathering and design, particularly with a technology overlay
- Project management experience and understanding of good project governance.
- Deep technical understanding of Tax and/or Finance.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management.
Preferred
- Experience working with Financial Services businesses and/or Large Corporates
- Experience of implementing tax specific technology solutions
- Experience of data analytics, RPA, and/or data visualisation solutions.
