Job Details
Our Private Tax team specialise in advising privately owned businesses, wealthy individuals, families, their businesses, and private equity-backed portfolio companies on UK and international tax affairs. We collaborate across the business to provide holistic solutions for clients' plans. We are recruiting Senior Managers with corporate tax experience in these areas. Our team values curiosity and collaboration, encouraging the sharing of specialist knowledge and new ideas to deliver best in class service. Responsibilities include managing client relationships and delivering tax advisory services on complex matters, with full support from Partners, Directors, and internal specialists both regionally and nationally.
What your days will look like:
- A key role in a growing team, working closely with experienced Private Tax Partners and Directors and having responsibility to develop new client relationships, identifying and pursuing new opportunities from within our market.
- Responsibility for a diverse and broad portfolio of client engagements, including privately owned or family owned businesses and private equity portfolio companies.
- Developing market leading relationships with both our interesting clients (including many well-known brands) and internal stakeholders, collaborating across the firm when developing client relationships or delivering complex projects.
- Maintaining an expert level of relevant tax knowledge (both UK and overseas), staying current with technical developments including changes in tax law and legislation.
- Advising clients and internal stakeholders on the latest tax technical issues, including delivering sessions at client / knowledge events.
- Supervising, coaching and providing regular feedback to Managers, Senior Associates and Associates within the team while also keeping more senior stakeholders updated of progress.
The role is for you if:
- You are practice trained and possess a ACA and/or CTA qualification (or and international equivalent)
- Extensive experience advising large corporate clients on UK and international tax matters, with demonstrated business acumen and sound accounting knowledge.
- Proven client relationship skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and evidence of a Business Development mindset, contributing to business growth.
- Effective in managing internal teams, solving complex problems collaboratively, writing clear reports, and managing time and stakeholder expectations proactively.
