Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working with a growing PE-backed SME in North Nottinghamshire to recruit a Financial Controller to head up the small finance team as the number one on-site.
Your new role Reporting to the Managing Director/Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for the production and processing of all invoices, payroll, VAT, corporate tax returns as well as monthly management accounts, financial and statutory accounts, year-end and reporting to the group's consolidated accounts. In addition you will be responsible for product costing, inventory and stock analysis. You will look at ways to improve business planning processes to maximise operational efficiencies, develop and improve forecasting, P&L and cashflow and provide valuable insight to the rest of the senior leadership team.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or have highly relevant experience) and be used to working in an SME environment managing a small team in the hands on production of accounts. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills-used to working with stakeholders at all levels in the business. You will have commercial focus and be confident in recommending and implementing improved processes. Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
