Your new role
As Management accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for a number of business entities with the support of a finance assistant. You will have a wide range of tasks including bank reconciliations, control accounts and account production. You'll oversee the VAT returns and other returns to external bodies such as funding organisations.
The organisation conducts a large amount of capital work and this role will involve significant reporting around the funding and expenditure on capital projects. You'll be liaising with project managers to ensure these vital projects are delivered on time and within budget.
You'll ensure the correct balance sheet values are reflected for stock and other assets and will use your financial accounting skills to ensure that they are reported in the correct format according to accounting standards.
What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified accountant with significant experience of management or financial accounting. Perhaps you are working for an SME and would like to work for a larger and more complex organisation.
You'll be keen to work for an organisation that gives back to society but have the ambition to take on responsibility and grow your career.
